Sunday School 10am and Worship begins at 11am

Well Then! Mother Nature has sure given us a Lanuary to remember! There has been a gambit of conditions. And with those conditions comes the closures. After just getting back to school from the holidays, once again, our kids of all ages were out of school. And home. With magnificent snow days. And lots of road closures that still are treacherous to navigate as we begin to thaw and melt.

Bible Study is every Wednesday at NOON through February. This will give those who do not like to drive in the dark the opportunity to join us in our Bible Study group. All are welcome and we look forward to seeing you.

January 2026 begins with a few changes to schedules. Our weekly bible study will now be at NOON each wednesday in January and February. There will not be an ELC early morning coffee service for January or February 2026. It’s just too cold to put on a happy face at 7 am outside! We will resume service on Tuesday, March 10 from 7-8:30am. Feel free to join us for this wonderful outreach ministry. If you have any questions about this service, ask anyone on Hospitality or stop by the church office.

Join our Men’s Fellowship breakfast at Granny Bee’s on February 11th starting at 8:30am. This is a wonderful time sit and share a meal and start your day with friends.

The Ladies have their monthly fellowship lunch on Thursday, February 12th at OIP starting at noon. Join us for some fun, food and fellowship.

Our January soup & stew lunch was canceled due to severe weather and road conditions. In fact, just about everything in town was closed! Churches canceled in person services and streamed online for worship. We had 240 online following our wonderfully prepared service on January 25. Thank you to the choir for recording all the music and to Pastor Duncan for expertly navigating the streaming for a flawless online service.

We are looking forward to our February 15 Baked Potato and Salad Bar lunch provided by the Youth. The Youth have also been collecting specific items in support of Isaiah 117 House. If you have a desire to help with this ministry, please stop by the church office for a list of items in need.

The Community Outreach Committee wishes to thank all of those who have been so generous and thoughtful in restocking and fulfilling the GHBC Food Locker. In January, we assisted 8 families in need of food from this locker. So thank you very much for caring to feed our local community.
