About the church
Founded in May 2004, Grace Hills Baptist Church has grown and thrives as a mission outpost for the kingdom of God. With a heart for one another and a spontaneous welcome to all, the congregation meets each Sunday for Bible study at 10:00 A.M. Worship is at 11:00 A.M in the sanctuary.

We are resuming our mid week gathering August 12th. For this wednesday, we will have a spaghetti dinner before service at 5pm. Please join us as we return to our mid week service & visit with a neighbor or just appreciate a good meal.
As Summer comes closer to an end, and school returns to our neighborhoods, don’t forget to check in on a friend. Some parents may need a shoulder to cry on, or a friend to celebrate with!
The monthly ELC coffee service, held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, is from 7-8:30am. Feel free to join us for this wonderful outreach ministry. If you have any questions about this service, ask anyone on Hospitality or stop by the church office. Our next coffee service will be August 11 starting at 7am.
July 26 was our Annual Summer Song. It was a wonderful night of Patriotic music with 10 special guest singers! After the concert, a dessert fellowship was prepared by the members of GHBC. What a lovely table to desserts! Thank you everyone for a Patriotic night of music and great food.
Join our Men’s Fellowship breakfast at Granny Bee’s on August 12th starting at 8:30am. This is a wonderful time sit and share a meal and start your day with friends.
The Ladies have their monthly fellowship lunch on Thursday, August 13th at noon. We will meet at OIP in Triangle Plaza. Join us for some fun, food and fellowship. Our July lunch was at Pizza Hut and we had a huge and hilarious crowd!
The youth are assisting in the By His Hands food ministry on August 22 in Pamplin. This ministry supplies food to those in need on Saturdays starting around 10am and ends when the food is gone. All are invited to join in this event and gather at 9am at the ballfield in Pamplin. Please see Lara Peterson if you have any questions.
The Community Outreach Committee wish to thank all of those who have been so generous and thoughtful in restocking and fulfilling the GHBC Food Locker. Thank you for all your support!!
July 25 was our 1st Annual Family Fun & Potluck Picnic! 4-6:30pm. The Community Outreach & Hospitality Committees wish to thank everyone who came out for some fun, food & laughs! Games, food and fun. Activities of all kinds were held inside & outside. Special notes of Thank You to the ELC for use of the inflatable water features and the bouncy house! And to Ace Hardware for donating the Popcorn machine & Snow cone machine. The games, the fun, the laughter, the water fights!! And the “competition” croquet was so fun!! Even on our lumpy lawn! Rematches of water fights, badminton & croquet are already being planned for our annual church picnic to be held on Sunday, September 20 at Fairview Christian Center.
There will not be any Line Dancing for the foreseeable future. Our beloved dance instructor is convalescing with knee issues.
The Senior Exercise class will resume on September 1. Have a wonderful, safe summer
Pickleball will NOT be taking a summer break. Through the month of August, we will meet on Wednesday & Thursday at 6pm and every Sunday from 2-4pm.
Good Neighbor hosted a Field Trip on July 23. 12 folks rode the church van in air conditioned comfort to Stuarts Draft to a cheese factory, then a stop in Charlottesville for lunch, then stop at Saunders Peach Orchard. Thank you to Providence Church for the use of the van! And Pastor Michael for driving.
